Piper was just walking through the park, when she saw Valentine and Celeste about to get attacked by a chimera. She pushed the back and killed the chimera, protecting them. She told both girls that they were demigods and that she needed to take them to camp.

Just after moving to New York, Valentine got attacked by a Chimera. She was walking into the park with Cameron, when they both got attacked by a chimera. Both girls started running until they bumped into a Piper who helped defend them from it.

Aphrodite is the goddess of Love and Beauty and she is Valentine's godly parent.
 
Aphrodite and Valentine have a lot in common if you actually compare them. They both love fashion and love. Aphrodite may be a bit girly, but don't let that fool ya. She could be powerful when she feels like it.
 
Aphrodite met Oliver on Valentine's day, when Oliver and his recent girlfriend Amelia broke up. Oliver was attracted to Aphrodite because of her beauty and personality. They went on a few dates for a year before one thing led to another and Valentine was born. Aphrodite didn't tell him the truth but left, quickly. Truth be told he was heart broken. He always said Valentine reminded him of her mother in so many ways.

Valentine was born and grew up in Paris, France. She lived there with her father until she was 10 years old. Valentine was born on Valentine's day, hence why she is named Valentine. Her father, Oliver, met Aphrodite when he went to Paris for vacation. Oliver worked as a high school History teacher. Even though Valentine didn't have a mother most of her life, she hardly even payed attention to that. She was always near her father, even when they traveled. Valentine might of never looked like a daughter of Aphrodite, but at times her personality and charm of one.
 
Valentine was a remarkable student, even though she had ADHD and was Dyslexic. Valentine was popular, but really didn't have any true friends. Her only true friend was Cameron and she lived in the flat above her. Cameron was the complete opposite of Valentine. She was quiet, shy and closed off.
